Software development gives me the space to tap into my own creativity. I enjoy building software that has a community element, adding value to human’s way of living. Throughout the years, I have ventured in full stack, application, and mobile development, while also experimenting with public facing APIs.

Planning and organization bring me personal joy. Whether planning a conference, party, or workshop, I am passionate about bringing strategy and logistics into any social setting. My ability of event coordination has allowed me to successfully execute regional and global events, including:

Growing up The Bahamas, there was minimal representation of Bahamian professionals or students in the engineering industry – especially those that were women. This lack of representation, and guidance, has caused me to experience a lot of trial and error when it came to my career. But once I overcame my struggles, I decided that I would not want the the next generation to go through the same experience I did.

I am passionate about education because I believe that when you are well informed, you make better decisions. Without a doubt, there is immense value in creating economies with diverse industries, so I make it my responsibility to encourage innovation in the next generation of thought leaders.

Presently, I work with various organizations across The Bahamas and the Caribbean to empower young people in education, and give them the necessary tools to pursue a career in engineering or S.T.E.M. Through workshops, mentorship and speaking engagements, I provide insight through my story, while teaching competitive skills necessary for today’s economy.
